Garden Waste Rubbish Removal
Sydney
Garden Rubbish Removal Specialists
Garden waste has a way of piling up. One weekend of pruning turns into a mountain of branches that won’t fit in the green bin, and suddenly your backyard is a holding yard for everything you’ve cut back.
For over 15 years our family-owned team has been clearing green waste from Sydney gardens – after landscaping jobs, hedge trimming, tree lopping, seasonal clean-ups and storms. We bring the truck, we do the loading, and we take it all away in one visit. No trailer hire, no repeat trips to the tip, no waiting months for a council pickup that won’t take half of it anyway.
Green waste is one of the easiest materials to handle responsibly, and we make the most of that. Rather than sending your garden rubbish to landfill, we deliver it to composting and mulching facilities wherever we can – where it’s processed into mulch and compost that ends up back in gardens just like yours.
If it grew in your garden
The Green Waste We Remove
Our green waste and garden rubbish removal covers just about everything a Sydney garden produces. Not sure about something? Just ask when you call.
Transparent pricing
How Much Does Green Waste Removal Cost?
Green waste removal is priced by volume - how much space your garden rubbish takes up on the truck — rather than by weight or by the hour. You're quoted a fixed price before we start, and you only pay for the space you actually use.
Volume
The biggest factor. A few bags of clippings sits at one end of the scale; a fully cleared backyard sits at the other.
Access
Green waste in an open driveway loads faster than the same pile behind a locked gate, up stairs or down a steep block. Easier access usually means a lower price.
Waste type
Light, bulky material like leaves and prunings loads quickly. Dense material like soil, wet mulch and hardwood is heavier, so it's factored in differently.
A rough guide to load sizes
Most people struggle to picture volume in cubic metres, so here's a practical translation.
About a trailer-load
A modest prune, a few bags of clippings, or one afternoon's garden tidy-up.
About two trailer-loads
A decent hedge clearance, a small backyard tidy, or a pile of branches after tree work.
A full backyard
A complete garden clean-up, a landscaping job's leftovers, or significant storm damage.
Bigger properties
Larger blocks, acreage and major clearances. We'll tell you upfront if a job needs more than one run.
Because every garden is different, we don't publish fixed prices — a quote based on photos or a quick description will always be more accurate than a generic price list. Call or text a few photos and we'll give you a firm number on the spot.

Sydney storms bring down branches fast. We respond quickly to clear fallen limbs and wind-blown debris so your property is safe and usable again.

Not just homeowners
Green Waste Removal for Businesses, Strata & Trades
Garden waste isn't only a homeowner problem. We work with trades and property professionals across Sydney - on-call or on a regular schedule.
Landscapers & gardeners
Producing green waste faster than you can dispose of it? We clear site waste so your crew stays on the tools instead of queuing at the tip. Regular and on-call pickups available.
Strata & building managers
Common-area gardens, courtyards and grounds maintenance generate green waste that overwhelms shared bins. We handle scheduled clearances with minimal disruption to residents.
Real estate & property managers
Overgrown gardens kill first impressions. We clear green waste ahead of photography, open homes and tenant handovers — often at short notice when a listing date is locked in.
Tree loppers & arborists
Got more debris than your truck can take? We clear the overflow so you can finish the job and move on to the next one.

A smarter alternative
When Your Council Green Bin Isn't Enough
Every Sydney council provides a green waste bin, and for weekly clippings it does the job. The trouble starts the moment you do any real work in the garden.
A standard green bin holds a fraction of what a single afternoon of pruning produces. Branches need cutting down to fit. Lids that don't close often don't get emptied. And most councils won't take soil, large limbs or bulk mulch in the green bin at all. Meanwhile council kerbside clean-ups are limited to a couple of bookings a year, with restrictions on what counts as green waste and waits that can stretch for weeks.
So the garden waste sits there - in bags along the fence, or in a pile you keep meaning to deal with. That's the gap we fill. One visit clears what would take months of fortnightly bin cycles, including the material your council won't accept.
| Payless Green Waste Removal | Council Green Bin | |
|---|---|---|
| How much fits? | A whole backyard in one visit | One small bin per fortnight |
| Branches & large limbs? | Yes - including heavy loads | Usually too big to fit |
| How long to clear it? | Same day | Weeks of gradual filling |
| Soil, mulch & bark? | Yes | Generally not accepted |
| Who does the work? | We load it all for you | You cut, drag and stuff it in |
For anything beyond a light weekly trim, a green waste pickup clears the job in hours instead of months.
Responsible disposal
What Happens to Your Green Waste
Green waste is one of the few materials that genuinely shouldn't end up in landfill. When organic material is buried it breaks down without oxygen and releases methane - a far more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. Composted properly, that same material becomes a useful product instead of a problem.
Waste handling in New South Wales is regulated by the NSW Environment Protection Authority, and green waste must be taken to a facility licensed to receive it. We use licensed facilities for every load, so your garden waste is handled lawfully as well as responsibly. If you need confirmation of where a load went, just ask.
Collected & sorted
We load your green waste and separate out anything that isn't compostable.
Taken to a licensed facility
Garden waste goes to composting and mulching facilities licensed to receive it.
Shredded & composted
There it's processed into mulch, compost and soil conditioner.
Back into Sydney gardens
Much of it returns to gardens, parks and landscaping projects across the city.
Only material that can't be composted - contaminated loads, or green waste mixed with general rubbish - goes to a licensed disposal facility instead. If your pile is a mix of garden and household waste, that's not a problem: tell us when you call and we'll sort it properly.
Timing your clean-up
The Best Times of Year for a Garden Clean-Up
Green waste in Sydney is seasonal, and timing your clean-up well makes the job easier.
Autumn
Peak leaf fall, when deciduous trees fill gutters, lawns and garden beds faster than a green bin can cope. Also the ideal window for cutting back before winter dormancy.
Winter
The traditional pruning season for many trees and shrubs, which makes it the biggest single generator of branch and prune waste in the calendar.
Spring
The growth surge, and with it the classic spring clean-up: overgrown beds, fast-growing hedges and the mulch refresh that comes with replanting.
Summer
Storm season. Sydney's summer storms regularly bring down branches and strip trees, and demand for clean-up spikes in the days immediately afterwards.
Booking ahead of a seasonal peak - or straight after a storm warning - usually means more flexibility on timing. That said, we run same day pickups year-round, so an unplanned clean-up is never a problem.

Green Waste Removal FAQs
How much does green waste removal cost in Sydney?
There’s no flat rate, because a few bags of clippings and a cleared-out backyard are very different jobs. What moves the price is how much room the load takes up, and how heavy it is — leaves and prunings are bulky but light, while wet soil, old mulch and hardwood branches weigh far more for the same space. Where the pile sits matters too: a driveway load is quicker than one carried out from a terraced rear garden. Send us a couple of photos and we’ll come back with a fixed figure, not an hourly rate that climbs while we work.
Do you offer same day garden rubbish removal?
In most cases, yes – garden jobs are often the easiest to turn around quickly, since the waste is usually already outside and doesn’t need carrying through the house. Storm weeks are the exception: when Sydney gets hit, fallen-branch calls come in all at once and the diary fills fast. If a limb is down and blocking a driveway or path, say so when you ring and we’ll prioritise it.
Do I need to bag or bundle my garden waste first?
No. You can leave it exactly where it is – in a pile, spread across the lawn or still where it fell. Our team does the gathering and loading. If it’s already bagged that’s fine too, we’ll take the bags as well.
Do you take tree branches and large limbs?
Yes. Branches, prunings and lopped limbs are among the most common things we clear, including heavy loads that won’t fit in a trailer or green bin. For very large trees or stumps, let us know when you call so we bring the right gear.
My green bin is full - can you take the overflow?
Absolutely, and it’s one of our most common jobs. Rather than waiting a fortnight for the next collection, we’ll clear the overflow in one visit, including the branches and bulk material your green bin was never designed to hold.
What happens to my green waste after collection?
Wherever possible your garden waste goes to licensed composting and mulching facilities, where it’s processed into mulch and compost rather than being buried in landfill. Only material that can’t be composted goes to a licensed disposal facility.
Can you remove soil, mulch and bark as well?
Yes. We take soil, dirt, old mulch and tan bark in reasonable quantities – the kind of material left over after landscaping or redoing garden beds. These are heavy loads, so mention the rough volume when you call and we’ll quote accordingly.
Can you clear green waste mixed with general rubbish?
Yes. Garden clean-ups often turn up old pots, broken furniture, timber offcuts and general junk alongside the green waste. We’ll take it all in the same visit and sort it properly at our end.
Do you work with landscapers, gardeners and strata managers?
We do. We clear site waste for landscapers and gardeners, handle scheduled pickups for strata and building managers, and take overflow for tree loppers. If you need regular collections rather than a one-off, mention it when you call.
Can you access my backyard if there's no rear lane or side gate?
Usually, yes. Most Sydney backyards are reached through a side path or by carrying loads through the property, and our team is used to both. We lay down protection where we’re walking green waste through a house or across lawn, and we’ll let you know at quoting stage if access will affect the price. If the only route is via a neighbour’s property or a locked common area, mention it when you call so we can plan around it.
Do you cover my council area?
We collect garden waste across the Sydney metropolitan area, and because we’re a private service we’re not limited by council boundaries or collection calendars – there’s no waiting for your area’s scheduled pickup, and no restrictions on what your particular council will accept in the green bin. Tell us your suburb when you call and we’ll confirm availability and timing.
